  • "Gone But Not Forgotten" prints pay homage to icons from our past that live on in our collective memories. Images real, imaginary and mythical are strangely familiar and feel like old friends. Marika has a fascination with the 'good old days' and there is a nostalgic feeling about these images that produce a warm glow. These works are all about celebrating the things we have a love of as New Zealanders, even if we haven't seen the Pink & White terraces or a Moa - we can still romanticise about them and can be proud to share a history with them.

The Huia were regarded by Maori as sacred or tapu; only those of high status could wear their beautiful feathers. Europeans thought they were pretty neat too and helped hunt them to extinction. The birds still enchant today with their feathers selling at auction for thousands of dollars.

All works printed by the artist using acid free velvet fine art paper and archival inks.

    Available in 2 sizes.

Each print is in a series printed on the top left corner and are a limited edition of 180 prints.
