To brush, straighten, comb or...honeycomb? 'Beehive,' the second in a series of works in which hairdos become habitats for homeless creatures, literally transforms that iconic sixties hairstyle into a buzzing hive of industry. Using a combination of acrylic, pencil and spraypaint on wallpaper and board, the original work from which this print is taken is part drawing, part painting, an illustration-based image with an emphasis on patterning and detail. Honeycomb rollers are piled high on the head of our unconventional beekeeper, and a palette of muted yellows and browns offer a subtle camouflage for the insects who tenant this tightly curled colony.

All works are printed on acid-free, archival quality art paper using Epson Ultrachrome pigment inks

Your print will be unframed, packaged in a cardboard mailing tube, which takes 3-10 working days.
